Tavares, FL - Lake County - Oct. 11, 2012
This "killer" video below is from Florida Watchdog and includes a series of questions from a TV reporter about how Broward County has dead people on the voter rolls, etc and the Supt of Elections says it is not her job to investigate, but the State Elections department says she can initiate her OWN investigation.
Scott avoids a question about whether the Supt. of Elections should investigate, but says they are elected officials and the local voters can decide if she is doing her job.
Then on the same video is a interview with Congresswoman Ileana Ro-Lehtinen who also says voter ID is good and people should not be objecting to efforts to ensure voter rolls are up to date and accurate, and that only valid voters are voting.

Broward County Republicans Investigate and find hundreds of dead people still on county voter rolls, and over 5,000 were purged from rolls:
HERE are articles about how Broward County purged 5,000 dead people from voter rolls, and then the Republican Party found 480 more to remove. In comparison, in Lake County, no such public report has been issued on voter roll cleanups.
“Broward has removed 4,482 names of dead people from the April results, according to state data. Miami-Dade dropped 4,860 names, and Palm Beach County shed 6,682. Another popular retirement county, Pinellas on the west coast, also
And, here is another article saying that the Broward County Republican party did their own investigation and they found 481 deceased people from 2011 still on the county voter rolls.
You can watch a video of a CBS TV report on the above investigation by the Broward’s Republican Party where they found 23% of deceased names checked were still on the voter rolls. However, the Supt of Elections says “We are up to date on all our voter information”:

Here is another article on dead voters, including Miami-Dade County.

Conclusion
You get the idea that each County has to investigate if their Supt. of Elections is actually cleaning up voting polls using computer matches and other modern investigative techniques, or they are still following 1950’s methods. As the one TV reporter said when questioning Scott, the State Elections Dept. DID say that the Elections Superintendents CAN launch their own investigation. If they don’t, maybe voters should throw them out.
